how to tighten deck belt
For model number 3314518BVE
Hello Edward, thank you for contacting us. A standard wrench or pair of pliers will be required for these tasks. For safety, disconnect the wire that connects the spark plug and loosen the clamp bolts on the mainframe tube with a wrench or a pair of pliers to adjust the tension of the mower deck drive belt by shortening or lengthening a location of the mainframe tube inside the clamps. Tighten the clamp bolts back to their original positions using a wrench or a pair of pliers and reconnect the spark plug wire. We hope this solves your problem!

Clearances are tight getting the belt onto the drive pulley on the engine
The clearance problem can be relieved by loosening a couple engine mount bolts and the bolts that mount the friction wheel assembly to the mower frame. No need to take the bolts out just loosen them a few turns.
