Just received my new Toro and unpacked from the crate/pallet. Followed the manual and hook up everything as instructed. The mower fired right up and moved freely as designed. However, when I engage the PTO it blows the 20 amp fuse immediately. Any idea as to the cause?
For model number 17BRFACQA66
Hello John, thank you for reaching out. Carefully examine the wiring harness connected to the PTO clutch and safety switches, looking for any signs of damage or chafing. If wiring and switches seem okay, you can disconnect the PTO clutch and see if the fuse still blows when engaging the PTO. The PTO clutch, part number PS16449526, engages the mower blades. If the clutch is faulty or shorted out, it can cause a short and blow the fuse. We hope this helps.
