My fathers mower will not engage the rear wheels. Able to push mower forward by hand, but locked up pulling back. When engaged, the belt slips on the pulley and just squeals. Any idea what area to investigate? Thank you

Hello Ed, Thank you for the question. If the lever for the Self Propelled is released but the Mower still not allowing you to pull backwards, we suggest checking the Cable to make sure it is releasing. We hope this helps!
