No voltage on secondary side of transformer. Confirmed with meter that transformer windings had infinite resistance.
1. Turn the generator selector switch to "OFF"
2. Remove the 240 volt fuses in the automatic transfer switch to remove power to the transformer.
3. Remove the outside cover from the front of the generator, on the motor end.
4. Remove the 3 screws from the panel covering the controls.
5. Label or make note of which terminals the 4 wires on the transformer go to and disconnect from transformer.
6. Using 9/32 nutdriver, remove the two transformer mounting nuts and lock washers.
7. Remove old transformer from studs and install new one. Reinstall nuts and lock washers.
8. Reconnect the 4 transformer wires.
9. Reinstall the control panel cover and the generator housing end cover.
10. Reinstall the fuses in the automatic transfer switch.
11. Put the generator selector switch back in "Automatic"

old valve dripped gas when opened on cold sub zero day
old valve easily pulled out with screwdriver and pliers
install difficult due to 40 degree cold temp and bushing didn't want to squeeze into fuel tank hole
install required lots of liquid soap on bushing, which popped into place by using upward prying pressure from 3"X24" plywood braced into under-shelf of gas tank
used same technique to insert valve upward into bushing
works great!

check valve O ring was badly deteriorated - spraying water out at O ring
The description of the parts package on your website did not appear to be in proper (size) scale However, after following a Youtube video, I was then able to decipher what parts went where to be sure I was ordering the correct parts that I needed. Parts were shipped promptly and I found that replacing just the check valve o rings and seats, it cured the problem without having to use the other parts that came with the kit package. Would definitely order from this site again. BL NC

Generator would not start, Birggs & Stratton recommended to replase Gasket Exhaust.
Remove the spark suppresser, 4 face screws, 2 bottom screws and the two screws the hold the gasket. I also had to back out the top screw of the cover it blocked and prevented the removal of the gasket.
