MTD Edger Fuel Tank Assembly W/fuel Lines Incl. 29

The fuel tank assembly is responsible for storing and supplying fuel to the engine in lawn and outdoor power equipment. It includes the tank, fuel cap, and fuel lines. The fuel tank assembly will fail if the tank develops cracks or leaks, or if the fuel lines can become clogged. When the fuel tank assembly fails, you will notice fuel leakage, restricted fuel supply, stalling, difficulties starting and overall lower performance. Before beginning any repairs, first drain any remaining fuel from the tank for your safety. Disconnect the fuel lines from the tank and remove the fuel tank from the equipment. Position the new tank on to the mounting holes and secure it in place. Connect the fuel lines to the engine and vent to complete your repair.

Removed the 6 screws holding the red plastic cover, tank, and the old fuel lines from the carburetor. Placed the new tank in the sunlight for a few minutes to soften the new fuel lines. Then attached the new lines to the carburetor and replaced the cover

This Edger Blade is a black, metal blade which is sold individually and comes certified from the manufacturer. Installation is rated as "Easy" and requires a socket set and wrench set. This blade attaches to the drive shaft and is used for edging the grass around driveways and walkways. If this part becomes worn/fatigued/damaged (which may happen after hitting the pavement) you will notice an odd vibration and poor trimming, at which time the part should be replaced.

MTD Edger Snow Blower Chute Flange Keeper

This chute flange keeper is sourced from the original equipment manufacturer for use in snowblowers. The plastic keeper allows the snowblower chute to pivot, and secures the flange that connects the chute to the blower frame and holds it in place during use. Over time the flange keeper can break or fall off, which causes the chute to dislodge or shift from its position. If you notice that debris is discharged in the wrong direction, and you have difficulties adjusting the chute then this is a sign that the flange keeper is no longer functioning as it should. Clean the chute flange and surrounding area before placing the new keeper on. Use a pair of pliers to align the the holes on the flange keeper with the holes on the chute and lock it in place.

This authentic OEM bearing measures 0.62 inches inside diameter, and 1.38 inches outside diameter, and is 0.436 inches thick. Silver and balck in color and sold individually, the bearing is comprised of steel and rubber.
This bearing allows the input shaft to rotate freely inside the gear box, and over time can become worn or damaged. You will know your bearing is damaged if it is making a growling, grinding, or squealing sound. This is an easy repair, and requires a bearing puller tool to carry out.
Locate the bearing inside the gear box on each end of the input shaft, ensuring you have confirmed this is the part you need by verifying your model number or using your owners manual.

MTD Edger Snow Blower Shear Bolt

This is a shear bolt, also known as a snap-off bolt. This is a fastener designed to break under a specific amount of pressure and protect the machine it is installed on from that excessive load. In lawn equipment, the shear bolts typically connect the auger or blade to the drive shaft. Therefore, if the bolt snaps, the auger gets jammed and cannot rotate so that it will not damage the rest of the unit. This bolt has a diameter of 5/16 inches, with 18 threads per inch, and is 1.5 inches long. To remove the shear bolt from your machine, you need to turn the power off first. With pliers or a wrench, grip onto the broken end of the bolt and twist it gently out of its hole. If it is stuck, you may need to coat the bolt with a penetrating oil or tap the bolt out with a mallet. Since this authentic OEM part is sold individually, refer to your instruction manual so that you can purchase the correct number of bolts for your machine.
