Jonsered Lawn Tractor Lawn Mower Ring Clip

Wheel bushings were bad
Removed old clip removed rim from tractor, removed grease fitting on rim, took hammer and screw driver knocked out old bushing turned rim over knocked out other bushing. Press in new bushings reinstalled grease fitting slide tire back on tractor, put retaining washers on then locking clip put on dust cover grease at grease fitting. Repeat other side.

This OEM washer, also known as a flat washer, has dimensions of 25/32 x 1-1/4. Silver in color and metal, the washer is sold individually. Although this part can have a range of applications depending on the equipment, its general function is to spread the load under a bolt. Ensure you consult your owners manual or check your model number to confirm this is the washer you need for your equipment.
This part will need to be replaced when your existing one is worn or damaged. It is an easy repair according to our customers, and does not require any special tools.

Jonsered Lawn Tractor Washer 5/16 Std Flt
HINT: I removed the mower deck and placed jack stands under the frame to support the rear end of the mower. I then supported the transaxle with a floor jack. This worked great for positioning/aligning the transaxle up to the frame after the new mounting bracket was installed.
HINT: Due to the shearing of the transaxle mounting bracket, it was difficult to get a socket to seat correctly on the some of the nuts securing the transaxle to the mounting bracket. I highly recommend getting 4 new nuts because you will likely damage/strip the nut while removing it.
HINT: The youtube videos all show removing the rear tires. The rear tires can be difficult to remove; and there are some interesting youtube videos on removing stuck rear tires. If you have a stuck rear tire, you can complete the repair with the tires on; it is just a bit more challenging to squeeze your hands behind the tire to reach the bolts. I was able to only get one tire off.
HINT: If I wasn't able to do the repair with the rear tire on, my idea for getting the rear tire off was to fabricate a bracket that would work with a gear puller. The plan was to utilize the two symmetrical 1/4 inch-ish size holes in the rim to install 12" long bolts. I would then install a C-channel over the bolts, which would place the C-channel directly over the axle. I would then drill a hold in the C-channel for the gear puller bolt to go through. The shoulders of the gear puller bracket would then push against the c-channel. I was planning on using a few large fender washers on the back side of the rim to help prevent the rim from getting damaged when pulling the tire. You will be pulling the rim about 3 inches to get it off the axle.
HINT: It look four hours to repair plus another half hour of watching youtube videos; probably would have taken two hours if I didn't spend two hours trying to take off one of the rear tires that was stuck.

transaxle rotated forward on 2015 Husqvarna YT42DXLS
2015 Husqvarna YT42DXLS. Both transaxle support struts broke causing the transaxle rotated forward and shear transaxle mounting bracket. The transaxle was not damaged. All 3 parts required replacement. There are some good youtube videos to watch to show how to complete the repair. Jonsered Lawn Tractor Lawn Mower Hairpin Clip

This hairpin clip, also known as a cotter pin, is a genuine OEM sourced part used to secure rotating components together in various outdoor power equipment. It is made of steel and is approximately 1.5 inches long. The clip acts as a fastener to prevent the moving parts from loosening and falling off during usage. The clip is vulnerable to corrosion and general wear over time. However, it can also fail prematurely due to overloading and excessive stress. A damaged hairpin clip will result in misalignment of parts, accidental disassembly, increased friction and wear, and potential harm to the user. Remove the faulty pin and align the new one with the insertion points. Ensure that the pin is securely fitted in its appropriate slot and compress the ends to prevent it from dislodging.

Jonsered Lawn Tractor Lawn Mower Ignition Switch

This ignition switch is an OEM replacement part found near the steering wheel or dashboard in lawn tractors and riding mowers. The switch has four symbols on the top side which indicate its various functions including starting, stopping, running and reversing. The switch works by connecting/disconnecting the circuit between the battery and the ignition system. The switch can fail either from physical damage or faulty electrical wiring. If the ignition switch is no longer working, you will not be able to operate your equipment. To access the faulty switch, first disconnect the battery, and wiring harness. Squeeze the tabs on the sides of the switch and pull it out from its mounting position. Plug the new switch in place and ensure that the tabs are engaged. Finish the repair by reconnecting the wiring harness and battery. If your current key is in good working condition, you can continue to use it. However, if it is not, it is recommended to replace the key at the same time. Each ignition switch is sold individually.

Jonsered Lawn Tractor Bolt Shoulder (5/16-18)

This metal shoulder bolt, which is also called a shoulder screw or a stripper bolt, is a fastener that has a shoulder between the threaded and unthreaded sections of the bolt. This shoulder is a smooth section which supports and guides rotating parts. The threaded section of the bolt fastens parts of a machine together. This bolt has a diameter of 5/6 inches, a thread pitch of 18 threads per inch, and a TT thread type. You can tell when a shoulder bolt is broken when the rotating parts that it is supporting becomes wobbly or misaligned. Your machine may even make unusual noises. You will need to replace a damaged shoulder bolt as soon as possible to prevent damage to your equipment. Left unrepaired, the rotating parts it is holding may become completely disconnected or collide with each other. To remove a shoulder bolt, you may need to use a wrench or socket to loosen the nut on the threaded end of it. Using a second wrench or pliers to hold the bolt in place while you loosen the nut can be helpful. Use the pliers to grip onto the shoulder of the bolt, then twist and pull the bolt out of your machine. Keep in mind that the nut does not come with this OEM-certified part, and that you need to purchase each bolt separately.

This OEM hardened washer spreads load under the bolts of your lawn tractor. It is silver, made of metal, and is sold individually. Over time, the washer may become damaged due to wear and fatigue, and will need to be replaced. You may notice this part is damaged if you start hearing a grinding or rubbing noise between the tire rim and ring clip.
You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to carry out this repair, which our customers generally found easy.
You will locate the washer on the spindle, between the wheel and the ring clip.
