Hitachi Trimmer Priming Pump

The primer bulb assembly includes a plastic bulb with a metal/plastic base for use in a variety of lawn and outdoor equipment. This parts kit is sourced directly from the equipment manufacturer and is responsible for priming the carburetor to make it easier to start the engine. When air is forced out of the bulb, it creates a vacuum which allows it to pull gas from the fuel tank through the fuel line and into the carburetor for combustion. The primer bulb is susceptible to general wear and tear and may eventually dry out and crack from use. When the bulb assembly is faulty, you may notice that it is difficult to start your equipment, and fuel leaks out through the bulb or fuel lines. To perform this repair, remove the old assembly and then attach the new assembly to the fuel line and base.
