Blower fan cracked
Unplug the power cord from the unit. Remove the lower front panel; then the upper front panel including the door (unplug wire to door switch). Then remove the cover on the fan housing. Need to block the motor from turning; I used a stick to jamb the front of the motor; then unscrew the old blower fan and screw on the new one. Then replace the cover and put front panels back on. Range Convection Fan Blade
PartSelect Number PS3409337
Manufacturer Part Number 318398302
This convection fan blade is designed for use with various makes and models of range and oven and is sold as an individual part. Made of metal and measuring approximately 4.75-inches in diameter, this genuine OEM fan blade works with the convection motor to circulate and distribute heat evenly throughout the oven. If your oven is not getting hot enough or the heat is not circulating properly, or if the fan blade in your oven has become warped, damaged, or chipped, it needs to be replaced immediately. To replace the fan blade, disconnect your range from the power and locate the fan assembly. With the appropriate screwdriver and wrench, remove any assembly covers and the securing nut from the blade. Once the nut is removed, install the new blade and secure it and re-install the cover.

replacing the fan on a convection oven (fan was making a vibration noise)
This was the first time replacing the fan. It is a lot easier to work in the oven compartment with the oven door removed, only two screws on the door and the hinges were released. I found that a couple of the screws were either rusted or stripped so I used a pair of pliers to remove the screws that were holding the diffuser in place. Once there was access to the fan I found that the fan was warped and that the blades were scraping against the back wall of the oven. The next challenge was to remove the retaining nut. I used a sheet metal screw to secure the warped fan to keep it from spinning. once I figured out that you have to turn the retaining nut to the right to loosen, it came off easily. 1/2" socket with extension. When I replace the fan I used two washers for spacers to make sure that the fan would not scrape the wall of the oven. Its been tested many times and the oven does not make that horrible sound anymore. Read more...

Range Evaporator Fan Blade Kit
★★★★★
★★★★★
5 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS304684
Manufacturer Part Number WR60X114
This kit features a 5-blade plastic evaporator fan blade that rotates CCW and measures 4.5-inches in diameter and has a 3/8-inch-tall shaft. This kit also has a metal compression ring that secures the fan to the evaporator. The evaporator mechanism is normally located in the freezer and is responsible for pulling the warmer air over the condenser coils, cooling it off and then blowing and circulating that cooler air through the rest of the refrigerator. If the freezer compartment has a frost buildup or if there is a lack of cooling and airflow in your refrigerator, this fan likely needs to be replaced. To replace your evaporator fan, you will likely need a screwdriver and a set of pliers and check your user manual for the exact location of your evaporator fan.

blower motor died
Pulled the motor and blower wheel from below. Replaced both. I think it was easier to replace the two together than just the motor.I also had old light indicators so we replaced them since the stove was sort of apart. The repair was not difficult at all, and my 30+ stove top looks and runs great! Read more...

The fan cover in top of the cooking area was burned.
The original cover was burned and actually caught on fire. Research informed me that food can splatter and stick to the cover. The particle will get hot enough to ignite the plastic cover. I ordered the cover and included the fan since it was so cheap, Replacement was super easy. Done in 10 minutes and made my wife happy. She was ready to buy a new microwave because she thought something was wrong with ours but food splatter was the cause. Parts were less than $10 + $6 shipping. Keep the inside of the microwave clean!! Read more...
