Oven Bake Element Specifications

This bake element is located at the bottom of the oven to supply heat and it has push-on terminals. If your baking element is burnt out, the heat is not consistent, or is defective, then replacing the element could be a solution to your appliance problem. The tools needed for this replacement are: a screwdriver and needle-nose pliers. The first step in is to unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker before starting. Unscrew the black of the oven cavity to pull out wires from the defective element. Reconnect wires to the new element and screw it back on. Make sure the element is sitting flat.

Bake element died
Followed instructions on urine that you provided. Instructions were great.
Only problem had was the screw was hard to get loose on one due to oven usage from previous people but I got it after a bit and then fairly simple from there. Unplugged and plugged new element in. Works although seems to run a bit hotter than before.

Oven would not heat up.
Unplugged the range. Opened the oven door and took out the shelves. Took the right screw out, but had trouble getting the left one out do to the age of the range. Unhooked the two wires and took the element out. Put the new one in and hooked up the two wires. Attached the two screws and checked to see that the element laid flat and then tighten screws. Closed the door and plugged the range back in and turned the oven on and it worked perfect.

I got the new baking element, I connected put back the power but element is not working although the tester shows power on attachment connections.
For model number WFE361LVT0
PartSelect logo
Hi John, Thank you for the question. If the element tested good and it is not turning on, it sounds like an issue with the Electronic Control Board. This board controls the oven operations and might be defective. Hope this helps!

How do you check the bake element to make sure it is bad?
For model number RF265LXTT0
PartSelect logo
Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. You will have to remove the element from your appliance. You would test your element with a multi meter to check to see if it is working correctly. This element should show a reading between 0 and 50 ohms of resistance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The lower and upper heating elements will not heat up ! All of the numbers and buttons on the cercuit board seam to work just fine
For model number RF265LXTB3
PartSelect logo
Hello Clifford, thank you for your question. The most likely issue is a bad electronic control board PartSelect Number: PS11728037. However, we would recommend testing the sensor first, as this could also cause that issue. If the sensor is fine, the board should be replaced. The sensor is PartSelect Number: PS11749737. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!
