Slide track required modification - Door cams installed easily
There were two small round studs in each slide track missing from the originals. Since there were no corresponding holes in the metal shelf bracket on my fridge, I ground off the plastic studs with a Dremel tool and the tracks fit perfectly.

My door would self-close anymore due to worn door cams. To fix I removed the door by unbolting the upper hinge and lifting the door off the lower hinge. I pried the cams off the door and the lower hinge and pressed the new ones into place. Added a dab of grease and reinstalled the door. Closes like new.

Broken right front track
Remove old track with a flat blade screwdriver by Gently tapping on the tabs to unlock from the shelf bracket. Simply reverse the procedure to install the new track. I used a bench grinder to quickly remove the round button near the front of the track to keep the track flush to the mounting bracket of the glass shelf.

Track broke in half on both sides
Taking the track off was fine, but putting it on was a nightmare. You have to push in and pull forward to get the tabs into place. For some reason they added a couple of notches on either side of the track that made it near impossible to budge and it warped the track when in place. We couldn’t do it with two people. Finally, I was able to carefully shave down the notches and got one side on. The other side, I had to whittle down the tabs, too, and gently tap the plastic end with a hammer to get it to budge into place. It’s plastic, so I had to be extremely patient. So far it’s holding the drawer fine.

Replace broken pan slide track for deli drawer
Technically there are no specific tool requirements for this repair, but getting the old slide track off of the shelf and getting the new one on can prove to require some elbow grease that I found some tools helped ease. The track attaches with tension of 3 dado-type slide joints as well as 3 pegs to lock it in place once those joints are aligned. I found use of a screwdriver to push the pegs out of their holes and then a hammer to force the piece to slide out of lock to help remove the old track. I then used the hammer again (lightly) to slide the new track into position so that the pegs would lock. I would stress though that this component being plastic, use of such tools should be done with great care if at all.

There were two nubs on the track which prevented them from fitting properly.
I filed the nubs down flat with the track. Worked like a charm from that point.

Drawer pan side track broke
I used a small hammer to gently tap the broken slide track out of the locked position. Then inserted the new one into the track and slid it slightly to lock it in place.

Broken support rail for sliding drawer
Remove sliding drawer. Remove glass shelf. Inspect the installation slots that the support rail is mounted through. Understand the direction you wish to apply force and then softly tap the rail and it will pop free. The same can be done for both sides. Interestingly, the parts are the same so you do not need a left and right rail if both rails are broken. In fact, they can be removed, flipped 180deg and reinstalled.

Replace the Broken pan slide track
These slides are in a notched metal support arm and meant to slip forward into a groove and lock in place. The replacements are exactly the same with one small difference and that is two small pillars that are meant to apply tension so that the slide stays in place. Therefore you have to fit the new slide into its notch and groove hold and press it into the support in two places and then push the slide into its locking position. I found that doing this was difficult with only two hands as the plastic did not flex and the tension from the new unit was far greater than the old ones with out the tension pillars. Answer was simple; soak the new slides in very hot water for 5-10 minutes. This allowed the slides to be more flexible and slide and lock right into place.

I’m not sure if this is what I need but I snapped the white plastic track thing on the right hand side of my drawer/pan. It clips into the part at the back (I think it’s called the snack compartment). This is the top drawer of my fridge. Can I order this for the left and the right side, and is this what I need?
PartSelect logo
Hi Alex, you are right, this part is used to hold the snack drawer up and it connects to the fridge. This pan slide track WP2223320 can be used for the right and the left side of your snack drawer. I hope this helps!

So I had to replace my pan slides (Whirlpool #2223320) and ordered two of them. With that said there are two round small pieces that stick out about a 1/4 inch round. These two small pieces won’t let the pan slides fit properly against the bracket. They also won’t let the small tabs slide in place. I noticed you and other sites recommend cutting off the round pieces, but how would you recommend me doing it without hurting myself or breaking the part.
PartSelect logo
Hello Carson, great question! The tabs can be removed by using side cutters (or a tool of a similar nature). The manufacturer is aware that for some models the tabs will have to be removed, so it should not be too difficult of a task. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

The pan slides on my fridge have broken few times and ive replaced them before. This time however I am unable to install them because they donot lineup properly. It looks like it should, but it wont budge. I bought a few incase I got a weirdly malfunctioning part but they all look the same. I know this is the right part, how do I install it……..

Hi Geo, the pan slides WP2223320 have been redesigned by the manufacturer. Although it is still made to work with your model refrigerator. If the pins seem to be getting in your way you can cut them off and still use this part as directed. Some models require all 3 pins whereas other do not need any of them. Best of luck with this repair!
