My freezer is not cooling all the way (frig side is fine), all the fans are working and the compressor is working. I think it may be the inverter (GE p/n wr55x10960). Do you have test instruction that i can run to see if the inverter board is bad ?? i am very good with a multi meter
For model number PFSS9PKYASS
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. To verify if the inverter board is bad, you will need to inspect it for signs damage, wear or burn marks. If it shows any of these signs, it will need to be replaced. If your freezer section is too warm, you should also check the temperature sensor, the main electronic control board and the defrost assembly. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Is there a way to trouble shoot the icemaker before I buy the part. It stopped making ice.
For model number PFSS9PKYASS
Hello Sonia, Thank you for the question. If the Ice Maker is not making ice, we suggest checking the water lines to the Ice Maker to make sure they are not froze over preventing water through. Also make sure the Water Filter is less then 6 months old, a old filter can prevent enough water pressure for the water to be sent to the ice maker. You can test the Water Valve with a Multimeter. Set your multitester to the R X 1 ohms setting to test for continuity. Place each of the multitester's leads on a terminal. Your multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. Closely examine your water inlet valve. The exact ohm resistance rating you should test for may be marked on the valve. If everything comes back good, the Ice Maker will need to be replaced. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

On the automatic icemaker, what does the "Test Switch" button do and how does it work. Our icemaker will not take in water and make cubes. We can get water from the dispenser.
Thanks.
For model number PFSS9PKYASS
Hi Joseph, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the test button on the ice maker is for resetting the ice maker. You may hold this button down for a few seconds and it will cause the ice maker to dump the ice, and refill it with water. If the ice maker is not taking in the water, then you may need to replace the ice maker assembly, part number PS2577893. Before replacing it, we suggest checking the water tubes to ensure there is no clogging in them. We hope this sorts out your problem!
The installation video notes that the door mullion spring has a bent end, and that the bent end of the spring is to be inserted into the LOWER hinge. However, on my refrigerator door, the bent end of the door mullion spring must be inserted into the UPPER hinge in order for the door to function properly. (Also noted that in your video t
... Read morehe installer manually closed the door mullion rather than just closing the refrigerator door, another indication that the installation of the spring was incorrect.) After watching the video several times to confirm I was installing the door mullion spring according to the video instructions, I tried inserting the bent end of the door mullion spring into the upper hinge, which proved to be the correct installation of the door mull spring. What should have been a 5 minute repair turned into an ½ hour repair.
Until I figured out that the Metal cover on the divider door had to be removed (pried out) giving access to the hidden hinges. After that the hinges could be removed and replaced.Great with giving phone thou.
I just replaced the broken spring and the little plastic cylinder that goes over the end of one part of the spring. I placed the plastic part on first and slid it in place, then had to bed the other end of the spring a little bit to place it in the hole. But once it went in, the door worked perfectly. And I'm a 70 yr old woman. So if I c
