Why is the on/off button flashing on my KitchenAid under counter ice maker?
For model number KUIX305ESS1
Hello Stephen and thanks for writing.
Try a reset
Look for the Reset Button
To access it, you must first remove the ice tray. Once you do that, you should see the bright red reset button on the bottom of the ice maker itself. To reset the ice maker, push this button in and hold it for 10 seconds. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

How do I test the water inlet vavle with a digital voltage meter to see if that is the problem? Water not flowing int ice maker after cleaning.
For model number KUIX305ESS1
Hi Mary, thank you for the question! To check the water inlet valve with a digital voltage meter for electrical failure, follow the following steps:
1. Disconnect the water supply line connected to the valve and the wires from the terminals located on the solenoid coils. Each coil will have two terminals.
2. Set the multimeter to the lowest ohms of resistance setting, and make sure the meter is calibrated properly.
3. Place a probe on one of the terminals, and place the other probe on the other terminal. Do this for each solenoid coil.
4. If the meter measures infinite ohms of resistance and the display on a digital meter does not change much, then the valve has no continuity and is faulty.
You may need to replace the valve, part number PS11765823. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
